Why Walk

We are so excited to announce that we are moving into a new phase of our ministry!

The orphanage in Haiti is flourishing, the program in Guatemala has given a new life to the

children there, and we have continued to build life-long relationships through our mission

trips. While we continue to serve Him in those areas, God has now opened the doors for us

to expand our ministry to change even more lives throughout Central America.

The vision for this new expansion will involve 4 phases:

1. Purchase property: $50K – After much prayer and searching, we have found a

pristine piece of land in the northern part of Honduras. It is 12 acres of farmable,

buildable land that is already equipped with electricity and water.  It is located in

the most desirable region of Central America where the year-round

temperatures are around 70 degrees, it is easily accessible from the main

highway, close-by to major airports, etc. Most importantly, the area is largely

untouched by any religious group making it a prime target for sharing the love of

Jesus.

2. Build a Ministry House: $25K – This first building would be the central base of

the property. It would include dorm rooms for housing groups, a kitchen, and

classrooms for the daily Bible studies and education.

3. Start a home/work-program for drug-addicted street children: $25K – God has

called one of our own young men to begin a program to help the overwhelming

number of boys that have been left on the streets to deal with their drug

problems. Included in this project will be a dorm, a farm, and a trade school to

teach them skills for when they complete the program.

4. Begin Houses of Hope – homes/education for single mom families: $5K per

home – In Central America, most families are heavily dependent on the men to

provide an income and the women stay at home with the children. Many women

are uneducated and do not have any marketable skills, so if something happens

to the provider, they are forced to send the children to work in the streets and

the family’s future becomes very dim. These “bungalows” would provide a short-

term home for a single mom and her children where she will receive spiritual

enrichment, personal skills training, and education for her and her children.

As you can see, God has given us a vision that far exceeds our means and capabilities. But

we know that He is able to provide both in order to make this vision a reality. Our goal is to

raise the first $50,000 before the end of the year.  This is where YOU come in.

We have a saying, you can’t do everything – but we can all do SOMETHING!  So… here’s your

“SOMETHING” to do help us Walk for the World.
